Our custom made doors are perfect for those restoring an older property as sizing is often unconventional and difficult to match with off the shelf styles. The doors are all made by traditional methods and come in a variety of wood options. If you plan to stain your door then the door and panels would need made from the same material. If it will be painted, the panels can be made from a manmade material to keep down cost. For high traffic areas, we would recommend hardwood or oak, if the door is within a porch or isn’t used regularly, softwood is fine. The manmade panels are an excellent choice for painted doors since they are inherently stable and do not warp, crack or split.
Our doors can be made;
1. without glass
2. with the glass shown in the images, either as single glazed leaded or encapsulated leaded
All our doors are made to measure and the prices are the same for sizes up to 36″ wide x 84″ inches high (914mm x 2134 mm). Anything above these measurements will need to be quoted individually. The standard thickness for an external door is 1¾” (44mm) however we can make hardwood and oak doors up to 64mm thick. Softwood doors are restricted to 44mm.
Delivery charge is £70 inc.vat. Our standard lead-time for an unglazed door is around 2-3 weeks depending upon workload.
